Affiliate & Referral Disclosures

HomeBrief is free for homeowners. To keep it free, we earn money in two ways: affiliate commissions when you shop through links on our recommendations, and referral fees when — with your explicit permission — we connect you with a service partner. This page explains both, plainly.

Affiliate links

Some links in your home analysis (for example, "Shop at Home Depot") are affiliate links. If you click one and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission from the retailer. This never changes the price you pay.

We participate, or have applied to participate, in affiliate programs operated by or on behalf of retailers including Home Depot, Amazon, Wayfair, and Walmart, and home-service marketplaces such as Angi. Product links are matched automatically to your recommendations by category; a retailer never pays us to alter the substance of a recommendation. Our analysis of your home is generated independently of any retailer relationship.

Referral partnerships

When you ask us to connect you with a professional — a real estate agent, a contractor, or a financing provider — we pass your request to a matching partner, and that partner may pay us a referral fee. Three commitments:

• Only with your consent. We never share your contact information with a partner unless you explicitly confirm a request.
• It never affects what you pay. Referral fees are paid by the partner, not by you, and don't change the partner's pricing.
• No obligation. A request is an introduction, not a commitment. You choose who you work with.

If you tell us you already work with a real estate agent, we do not offer to match you with a different one, and we never share your information as an agent lead.
